4. Dry the twine.

Use tweezers to remove the cord from Borax water. Hang up the cord and let it dry for 2 to 3 days.

Before you proceed, the twine has to be thoroughly cleaned.

To hang the treated cord in a warm, dry spot, use a clothespin or similar film. Put aluminum foil under the drying twine as it drips down to collect some excess solution.

5. Melt the wax.

Break candle wax of 60 ml to 125 ml) aside. Melt the wax with the help of a double boiler.

You could use a clean metal container and a small saucepan if you do not have a double boiler.

Steam 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5 cm) of water over the stove in a saucepan, allowing it cool down and steam without boiling.

Position the metal within the hot water bowl. Wait another minute before applying the wax to the pan to heat up.

Melted wax will cause serious burns, so treat it with considerable caution throughout the remainder of the process.
